It was a powerful stand taken by a protester at one of the major flashpoint religious events in recent history: a woman interrupted the first Muslim prayer service to take place at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
According to NBC 4 Washington, the unnamed woman broke in at the beginning of the prayer service to object to Muslims holding prayers in a Christian church.
“Jesus Christ died on that cross over there!” the woman exclaimed, right after the opening announcements had completed. “He is the reason why we are to worship only him. Jesus Christ is our lord and savior!”
