Dust has barely settled on the Bergdahl controversy, when out comes another one from the federal government working with its boss, King Obama. In Obama’s land, things are a little topsy-turvy where deserters and traitors are welcomed back home, even honored in the White House while honorable serving men and women are left in Mexico’s rotten jails. Obama has the power to deal with terrorists but not with legitimate governments. Maybe that is the reason, he always deals with Hamas and other terrorist organizations and ignores Israel! Now only if Marine Tomarasee had been taken by cartels, perhaps Obama could have flexed his presidential power a bit. Obama is real good with negotiating with terrorists and other nefarious characters!
Washington Post reports that Bergdahl has been assigned to a new active-duty unit. Army officials confirmed the move on Monday morning, saying the sergeant has completed the final phase of his reintegration process and will be assigned to U.S. Army North and Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. “He will now return to regular duty within the command where he can contribute to the mission,” Tatjana Christian, a spokeswoman for the Army, said in an e-mail. “The Army investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the disappearance and capture of Bergdahl is still ongoing.”
So there you have it, the marvelous workings of Obama administration and under this commander in chief’s directions, safe passage and haven to all who fall under the umbrella of being ‘deserters’. An Army investigation conducted shortly after Bergdahl disappeared on June 30, 2009, is said to have determined that he chose to walk away from his unit’s patrol base in Paktika province. To charge him with desertion, however, the Army will need to determine his intent which of course remains murky just like other things in the Obama administration. While regular servicemen and women will continue to get pink slips because of budget cuts – Bergdahl, a hero only for Obama, Bergdahl’s parents and other Liberals – will be given an honorable duty assignment; he will work besides others, who he willingly abandoned to go to the enemy camp, the Taliban in Afghanistan.
