Bernie Sanders, Presidential candidate for the Democrat Party and an “Independent” from Vermont, is an avowed and vocal socialist. He’s admitted it. He’s proud of it. He embraces the moniker with a serious and stoic expression, saying that the Government taking the hard-earned money from one set of Americans so that it can dole it out to another set of Americans is just fine and dandy.
His opponent, Hillary Clinton, a Democrat from wherever she happens to want a senate seat, is a Presidential candidate for the Democrat Party as well. She’s also a socialist, although an un-spoken one. She’s un-vocal about it, but just as proud. She keeps it ‘under the table’ and in public, like Obama, eschews the moniker. However, like Obama and Sanders, she also believes that the Government taking money from one group of Americans and doling it out to another is just fine and dandy.
Sanders thinks that a tax rate of 90 percent for the wealthiest Americans is not in the least ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Somehow, I just don’t think telling someone that they get to keep only ten percent of their earnings is an incentive to work harder.
You mean, if I work twice as hard as I am now, I can make ANOTHER ten percent? Wow! Thankyou Mr. Sanders, that adds up to a whole whopping TWENTY PERCENT of my pay I can look forward to.
Hillary, on the other hand, promises that she will not raise taxes on any American making less than $250,000 a year.
No no, really, she promises. Scuts honor.
She also said that she was ducking and running from sniper fire in fear for her life when she was in Bosnia. In reality, she and Chelsea can be seen on video casually walking across the Bosnian tarmac, smiling and greeting people.
Mrs. Clinton said that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, the man who made that monumental and groundbreaking climb of Mt. Everest. As it turned out, Mrs. Clinton was six years old when the intrepid climber made the famous trek to the top of the coveted peak.
How about Gay Marriage.
“I believe that marriage is not only a bond, but a sacred bond between a man and a woman.”
So said Hillary when she was a Senator from New York and seeking higher office. Of course, now, like her former Presidential opponent and boss, Barack Obama, she has “evolved” in her opinion on gay marriage. In fact, for her, like Obama, the Darwinian Natural Selective process was so miraculous, it has completely flipped to the other side. She is now for gay marriage and applauds the recent Supreme Court decision.
Uh, no missing link found there, either.
Clinton claimed that the Benghazi attack on our embassy there was an instantaneous uprising due to an anti-Muslim video, even telling the father of one of the victims that they’ll find the people responsible for film. Later, it was documented that she knew all along that the obscure video had nothing to do with the attack, and that it was indeed an actual organized mob with ties to a terrorist group that destroyed the embassy and murdered four Americans.
What I’m saying is this. Democrats have a dilemma on their hands – do they vote for an openly socialist candidate who is being honest about such an affiliation, or do they vote for a silent socialist candidate who is a slithering deceptionist, skilled at ‘wearing the mask’?
Which is it? An honest, straightforward socialist or a hidden one, dressed in camouflage?
Since Democrats have a history favoring slavery, Jim Crow laws, the KKK, and currently, killing babies, I’d have to say they may as well go with the herpetological pick. I mean, why not? She’s almost unrivaled when it comes to writhing all around the truth without hitting it, she’s super wealthy, has the media at her beck and call as her ‘roping them off’ on the Independence Day stroll has shown, and she’s demonstrated that she’ll compromise on virtually anything if it means the acquisition of power, as her husband’s antics and her defense of them has proven.
Why go for an transparent Big Centralized Government hound like Bernie Sanders, when they can have the purity of the ancient progenitor, sans perspicacity, and without the impediment of ethics to get in the way of “progress”?
Nope. The choice is clear. Sanders plays his cards face up, and that just won’t do for the Party that screamed “NO!” three times in a row to having God a part of their platform at the 2012 Democrat National Convention. Unlike Sanders, Hillary keeps her cards up her sleeve.
And if they are going to fool all those idiot Democrats in flyover country, the ones that still believe in God and country, the simple-minded ones that, as Obama says, hold onto their “guns and religion”, then they are going to need someone who can shuck and jive, slither hither and thither with the truth, someone who can don sheep’s clothing when necessary, yet lie and feast with the wolves when the situation warrants.
